343 says it’s almost impossible to run out of new challenges.
343 Industries has made it clear that Halo Infinite will not reward you with experience upon completion of a multiplayer game, as the battle pass progression is tied to challenges.
John Junyszek, Halo Community Manager, clarified some of the players’ questions and explained that in Halo Infinite “it will be a challenge to play and win matches, which will help players advance in the Battle Pass.”
“Even if that means no XP per game, you’ll always progress through challenges and then the Battle Pass.”
The company admits it may implement other ways to advance, but for the Halo Infinite version, challenges are the way the team chose to challenge you. Additionally, the 343i finds it virtually impossible to run out of challenges. Only the most dedicated people who spend their lives playing games can get to a point where they are without challenges.
Playing and winning matches is the main way to progress as the team believes that this way everyone can get into Halo Infinite and feel like they are progressing.
Hey Nick – Playing and winning matches will be a challenge, which will help players progress through the Battle Pass. Although this means no experience per match at launch, you still always progress through challenges and thus BP. Shall we update the blog to clarify?
