From January to April 2023, Argentina was the country with the highest number of foreign tourists arriving in Brazil. 1,181,665 – a 166.1% increase compared to the 443,993 that arrived in Brazilian lands during the same period in 2022.

The number of arrivals from Argentina to Brazil from January to April this year is more than the entire year of 2022, when 1,032,762 Argentinians arrived in the Brazilian territory.

In the first quarter of this year, the United States was the second largest source of foreign tourist arrivals to Brazil (224,882), followed by Paraguay with 194,981.

The increase in tourists from Chile compared to the first 4 months of 2022 is 169.3% – the highest among the top 10 countries. The number increased from 63,803 last year to 169,954 this year.

Compared to the 1st quarter of 2022, compared to the same period in 2023, the smallest percentage increase in tourists was from Portugal, which increased by 46.3%.
