Haas experiences mixed US GP with Magnussen’s zero and Hugenberg’s points

Haas had his ups and downs at the United States GP. This Sunday (20), Nico Hulkenberg was able to celebrate a top 10 finish, as he upset Kevin Magnussen in another zero race.

The German started at the Circuit of the Americas in 11th place. However, during the race, he not only managed to win, but also scored the most points in the championship by finishing eighth.

Meanwhile, his Danish counterpart experienced the opposite. After lining up in seventh place, he was unable to keep up with the pace of the competition and ended the day in 11th place, leaving zero behind in an unproductive two-stop strategy.

“I’m very happy with this, we maximized what was possible and in the end, we close Perez in a Red Bull. I had my doubts that it would be a one-stop race, it was bad and terrible during the first stage”, commented Nico.

“The tires recovered well and quickly opened the door for this race. That’s the key, so, two points this weekend and two points ahead of VCarb, it’s a good weekend,” he added.

Meanwhile, Magnussen left many words. “I didn’t get any points today despite having good opportunities. We were talking about stopping, but we didn’t do it.
