Discover the bunker where Ayrton Senna kept collections of planes and cars
30 years ago, Brazil said goodbye to Ayrton Senna, one of the greatest stars in sport and motorsport. Fantástico visited the room where Senna spent hours tending to his collection of planes, boats and remote control cars.
Cena spent hours assembling and disassembling things. The pilot's family allowed B amazing the Open a box of personal items that have never been used.
The collection, carefully stored in one of the Senna family homes, contains several models. Many of them were gifts that came from different parts of the world. Everything that arrived was stored properly.
Some things remain a mystery even to family members. “If I say I know everything that is here, that is a lie. We have not changed anything,” says Lalali Sina, the driver’s niece. She was 8 years old when Senna died in 1994.
“It was a request from my ancestors that none of this should change, and we already have things here for more than 30 years in the same place,” Lalali Sina said.
It was Sina's favorite corner, and today it is where the family misses him. “It's like he's still alive and just traveling, you know? It's a very special place. We have a lot of affection and we will always treasure it,” Lalali said.
The niece adds: “Seeing these things, it's like he's still alive and just travelling. It's a very special place, we have a lot of affection and we will always treasure it.”
