Studying and researching abroad is a transformative goal for many researchers, and the prospect of collaborating with globally renowned institutions is even more exciting. Now, Legal Amazon’s early career researchers can develop innovative projects in the United Kingdom.
The University of Wolverhampton and the University of Nottingham have extended the deadline for applications for their research grants to 31 October 2024.
Scholarships for visiting researchers last 12 months with funding ranging from R$222,000 to R$250,000, coverage of travel expenses, access to mentoring and other benefits.

It offers programs focused on promoting urban sustainability and combating social inequalities:
- Retain: Inequalities in Sustainable Cities.
- smart: The impact of smart cities during pandemics in the Amazon.
- Optimize: Last mile logistics with delivery bots.

Who can apply for the scholarship?
Permanent residents of Brazil and early career researchers from universities in the legal Amazon with experience in the proposed areas may apply.
qualifications
Applicants must have a relevant degree, PhD, research experience and proficiency in English (minimum IELTS 6.5). The cost of the IELTS test fee, if applicable, is included in the scholarship.
