The experienced Argentine shooter will defend Gremio's goal until the end of 2025

Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense announces a reinforcement for Grêmio's goal. Argentine goalkeeper Agustín Marchesín arrives to bring his experience and quality to the Tricolor squad. The athlete has signed an agreement and will arrive in Porto Alegre to undergo examinations before signing a contract until the end of 2025.
Marchesin began his career at Lanús, where he stayed for ten years, winning the Argentine Championship and the Copa Sudamericana. After that, he moved to Mexican football, where he became a National Championship and Champions Cup champion with Santos Laguna. Then he went to America and became Mexican champion again.
The highlight of his move to Europe. With Porto, he lifted the Portuguese League Cup twice, the Portuguese Cup twice, and the Portuguese Super Cup. In the same period, he defended the Argentine national team, and was part of the group that won the 2021 Copa America, in Brazil. Soon after, he was traded to Celta de Vigo from Spain.
Marchesín is a constant name in the Argentine national team call-ups, having been called up since 2011, in different tournaments. He participated in the 2015 and 2019 editions of the Copa America and in the 2021 title.
