Globo expects Faustau’s departure. Leifert takes over Sundays until Huck Entrance

Globo TV announced Thursday (17) that it will formalize the solution with presenter Fausto Silva sooner than expected and since then Thiago Levert will present Sunday’s program “Domingão do Faustão” led by Silva.

The presenter must terminate his network activities at the end of the year, after signing a contract with Grupo Bandeirantes that will begin in 2022.

“For strategic and internal reasons, Globo has made the decision to anticipate Fausto Silva’s departure from the programme, and together they have decided to formalize the cancellation,” the station announced.

After 32 years of attraction, Fausto Silva will leave without saying goodbye. The program was presented last Sunday (13) by Leifert due to the presenter’s admission to Albert Einstein Hospital due to a urinary tract infection.

Thiago Levert will continue with Sunday’s schedule until Luciano Hack’s new show is ready to broadcast. The announcer did not predict how long it might take.

On Wednesday, 17, he was discharged from the hospital, according to what his wife Luciana Cardoso announced on social media. In the post, she even mentioned that her husband will appear on the Sunday edition of her show, but that schedule has been changed with the new decision.

In an interview with Pedro Biel, Luciano Hack confirmed that he will be a replacement for Fausto Silva, dispelling speculation that he will run for the 2022 presidential election.
