“It was very important for me, as an academic, to be among academics studying in different fields. There was law, there was history, there was religion, there was economics, and everyone was discussing very important issues.

We have come to a consensus that the Academy needs this flexibility in terms of position. We don’t need a strong placement inside a box. We can simply live in a society where academics are people who are important to society, and we know they are, but they are ordinary people, without boxes, without labels.

They are people so devoted to the social good, to the common good, because like the doctor, the economist, the lawyer, the judge, the physiotherapist, the artist, all academics have a contribution to society, but they are still human beings. . Who go out, live, have fun, and don’t need some kind of vocabulary that is separate, but grouped, because we want to unite. That was the topic of our discussion.”
