Galvão compares Pedro Lewandowski and Tate praises Flamengo striker | Good friends!

In an interview with “Bem, Amigos”, this Monday, Tite once again praised Pedro, of Flamengo, one of the novelties of the team’s latest call-up. When asked by Galvão Bueno, who highlighted the development in the red-and-black striker’s finish, and compared him to Lewandowski, the Polish ace, Tite agreed with the analysis and revealed a conversation with Flamengo’s coach Dorival Jr.

– I see him and Dorival Jr. sees him too (Pedro is like our Lewandowski). When I was talking to him I said, “His final move is great.” It follows any logic. His ability to score and follow players quickly and his technical ability. He’s always a player of “It’s not a strength, it’s a way” – most notably Tite, about Pedro’s surrender.

Compared to other strikers vying for a place in Qatar, in the debate over whether eight or nine players will be selected from the sector, Tite explained that Pedro has different characteristics than his rivals, such as the ability to pivot and head.

– Peter pivot. He is the ultimate playing player. You don’t want him to move quickly, but give him the ball, for support, for a table, a header, to break through the opponent’s defense playing his “butt there” – said the coach.

Richarlison is 9, Gabriel Jesus is 9, Matthew Cunha is 9, and Pedro is 9. And all four have modulating properties – as Tite said (in the video above).

Pedro was called up last Friday for the friendly matches against Ghana and Tunisia that will take place on September 23-27 in France. This was Tite’s last roster before the World Cup final call-up. The Flamengo striker is the current Libertadores top scorer with 12 goals in 12 matches and is one of the highlights of Brazilian football this season.
