TV Globo shows Tempratora Maxima on Sunday (5) Movie Dark Minds, released 2018. Stars Amandla Stenberg (The Hate You Sow), Mandy Moore (This is Us) and Bradley Whitford (The Handmaid’s Tale).
The film is a dystopia in which most of the children and teens in the United States died in a pandemic. Few of the survivors have developed supernatural powers, and as a result, they are taken from their families and sent to government detention camps.

Literary adaptation
The film is based on the book of the same name by Alexandra Bracken. It topped the bestseller list, but the movie adaptation wasn’t so lucky, only grossing $5 million in its opening weekend in the US. Perhaps this is due to the wear and tear of the wretched formula, after a large number of films and series on the subject.
Created by “The Hunger Games”
It’s not just the theme that resembles the millionaire franchise: “Dark Minds” also has a “Hunger Games” star in the cast. This is Amandla Stenberg, Rue from the first movie in the saga. Fans of the series were considered one of the most beloved characters in the bloody arena and Katniss’ friend.
Colors to sort
In the book, colors are used to classify forces. It looks like this: red (powers of fire), orange (mind control), yellow (electricity), green (advanced intelligence), and blue (telekinesis). However, a change is made in the film: the yellow color is changed to golden.
A story within a story
Protagonist Robbie is having a moment in the movie where she tells a story called “Watership Down” by Richard Adams. It is an allegory to the story of the movie itself, in which the characters have abilities and fates similar to those of “Dark Minds”.
