Former opponent of Mike Tyson kicks out man in England fight

Julius Francis, a former boxer who fought Mike Tyson and now works as a security guard, fired a boy who had been altered and caused riots at London’s Boxpark Wembley.

The video posted on Twitter shows the moment of confusion and punch delivered by the ex-boxer:

Roger Wade, CEO of Boxpark, claimed that the man who was punched by the security guard was spitting and hitting customers and employees. Furthermore, Wade describes the former boxer as “one of the most beautiful people” he has ever met. “I woke up to a viral story about a member of our security team. Julius Francis, the former UK heavyweight boxing champion, is one of the kindest people I have ever met and helps train disadvantaged youth boxers in his spare time”- said Boxpark CEO.

On January 29, 2000, Julius Francis faced Mike Tyson and was eliminated in the second round. The battle lasted about 4 minutes and Julius went to the ground five times.

The former boxer, who became the European champion in kickboxing, had a boxing record of 23 wins (12 from KO), 24 losses and not one, when the fight ended in a draw.

In 2009, Julius Francis was found guilty of felony and assault charges after a road rage incident that saw him smash a car window. The victim of the former boxer’s attack sustained injuries to the face and Julius was ordered to perform 140 hours of unpaid work and pay £200 (about 1,200 Brazilian reais) in compensation.
