Gustavo Henrique has been loaned to Fenerbahçe (TUR) with an option to buy

According to information provided by journalist Venê Casagrande, Mais Querido will receive an additional R$7.3 million (at current prices) for the sale of the athlete. Gustavo Henrique’s representatives confirmed that Fenerbahçe had decided to exercise the takeover clause.

In the 2022 season, Fenerbahçe (TUR) signed Gustavo Henrique on loan, with the option to buy, if the player does not have any problems and / or injury to the knee that has already undergone surgery. At that time, Mingo received about 1.4 million euros (about R$7.74 million) for negotiation.

At that time, Fenerbahçe intended to buy Gustavo Henrique. However, when carrying out tests on the athlete, already in Turkey, the club’s medical department was afraid of the operated knee and even tried to abandon the negotiations. As a result, Flamengo ended up loaning the defender out on a mandatory buy-out clause, in case the player never got into trouble in the area again.

Gustavo Henrique made 88 appearances for Flamengo, scoring six goals and providing three assists. With Manto Sagrado, the defender won the following titles: Cariocas in 2020 and 2021, Brazilian Super Cup in 2020 and 2021, Recopa Sol-Americana and Brazilian Championship, both in 2020.
