Having balanced hormones is essential for the proper functioning of the body. They are responsible for many physiological processes and, if not regulated, can cause harmful side effects. We often associate imbalances with disease or age, and in some cases this is true. However, lifestyle habits can also be a contributing factor.
A registered dietitian by the Brazilian Association of Dietetics (APRAN), Ronan Araujo points out some of the wrong habits you make that you don’t even realize. “Sometimes, we find it in places we wouldn’t imagine, like cosmetics and toys. Today, there are about 800 chemical compounds that are suspected and that could alter hormonal physiology.”
