On February 15, the disbursement of PIS/Pasep 2024 began, i.e. the base year 2022. Therefore, since then, payments are disbursed monthly according to the month of birth of the worker entitled to the salary bonus.

However, although the transfer calendar overlaps, everyone has the same deadline for PIS/Pasep withdrawal, which occurs until December 27, 2024. PIS is redeemed through Caixa Econômica Federal and from Pasep through Banco do Brasil. However, to be entitled to the allowance, you must meet certain requirements.

Who is eligible for PIS/Pasep?

Therefore, those who meet the following requirements in 2022 are eligible for PIS/Pasep:

• Be enrolled in the program for at least five years;
• Worked on a formal contract for at least 30 days (continuous or not) in 2022;
• Earn up to two minimum wages in total income in 2022 (taking into account salary, 13th salary, vacations, overtime, etc.);
• Keep your employer’s updated registration on the Annual Social Information List (RAIS).

Therefore, the value of the PIS/Pasep varies according to the length of work in the base year. A worker who has worked paid work throughout the year receives the full value of the minimum wage, which in 2024 is R$ 1,412. Those who have worked less time receive a proportional amount.

How to request a refund after the deadline

Finally, if the worker has not withdrawn the PIS/Pasep by December 27, 2024, he must request the release of the amount through one of the following means:
