Atlético GO came off a 3-1 defeat to Palmeiras and are already on a seven-game winless streak. Dragão are 19th with just 11 points and can no longer leave the relegation zone in a single round – they are four points behind Vitoria, the first club to leave the relegation zone. The red and blacks, who have yet to win at home in this Serie A, are looking for their first win under coach Vagner Mancini.

Vasco are looking to make it four wins in a row, something the club haven’t managed in the Brazilian league since 2012. They have already won against Fortaleza, Inter and Corinthians and will now have three away games – after Atletico-GO, they will face Atletico MG and Gremio. The Vasco native was expected to make his debut, but the midfielder did not travel to Goiania.
