Ferbasa (FESA4) and Auren Energia (AURE3) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, with binding effect, to enter into electricity supply business.
The information was released on Wednesday night, the 17th.
The memorandum outlines the negotiations necessary for the parties to sign the deal through legal and commercial instruments, which will guarantee Ferbasa an average annual volume of 35 megawatts, for a period of 20 years, with supply starting in 2025.
In view of the electricity supply contracts in force, the Company has informed that the above commercial negotiations would not represent a significant change in the annual amount of power contracted for the continuity of its operations.
The conclusion of the transaction is conditional on the final documents being approved by all the parties’ governing bodies as well as by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) and other relevant regulators.
