Applications for the fourth edition of FAZ Science Prize. The initiative, promoted by the AstraZeneca Foundation and the Portuguese Society of Oncology, seeks research projects developed in Portugal in the field of immuno-oncology. Under consideration grants of up to 35 thousand euros.
With an annual periodicity, the award aims to “distinguish the best localized research projects (involving experimental research and fieldwork) in various therapeutic areas”, and in this edition, the award continues to focus on immuno-oncology as the field to be distinguished.
according to Regulation, applications can be submitted “by natural persons or a group of natural persons” engaged in research in the field of oncology and also “by legal persons resident in Portugal or abroad, which are institutions, organizations, associations or associations of scientific or clinical research”.
The nominated projects will be evaluated by an evaluation committee of five specialists in the field of immuno-oncology and the winner will receive a grant that can range from five to 35 thousand euros. The value of the award is determined by the evaluation committee based on the applications submitted, and more than one scholarship may be awarded.
Applications run until January 31st and winners will be announced in April.
