Fausto Vera and Matías Rojas train and could feature again for Corinthians in the final match of 2023 | Corinth

Midfielders Fausto Vera and Matias Rojas could return to Corinthians for the final match of 2023. On Wednesday, the team will face Coritiba, at Estadio Coto Pereira, at 9:30pm (Brasilia time), in the final round of the Brazilian championship.

The Argentine and Paraguayan missed Corinthians in the last rounds due to injury. Vera complained of pain in the Achilles tendon in her left leg. Rojas was already suffering from pain in the posterior muscle of his left thigh.

Fausto Vera’s last match was against Atletico MG on November 9. Rojas has not played since the defeat he suffered against Bahia on the 24th.

Corinthians will likely not have some of their key players against Coritiba. Two confirmed absences are defender Lucas Verissimo and midfielder Gabriel Moscardo, both suspended.

On the other hand, striker Yuri Alberto is available again, after suffering a blow against Internacional.

This Monday, the freshmen did refresher work and did not go to the field. Therefore, coach Mano Menezes will only have one training session to assemble the team for the last duel of the year.

Timão returns to training on Tuesday morning and then leaves for Paraná.

The possible black and white lineup to face Koksa is: Cassio, Bruno Mendes, Gil, Caetano and Matthews Beddo; Maicon, Fausto Vera, Giuliano and Renato Augusto (Rojas); Romero and Yuri Alberto.
