It was worth the wait! Blink-182 fan, former BBB member Rafinha, picked up Travis Barker's drumstick during the band's performance at Lollapalooza 2024, which took place on Friday night (22).
Showcasing the achievement on social media, Rafinha wrote: “It's done.”
Rafinha was perhaps one of the Blink-182 fans with the highest expectations for the band's show in Brazil.
Tattoo was still recovering when he learned about the cancellation. In the drawing, which took about five hours to complete, Rafinha immortalized the rabbit, which serves as the band's mascot, in addition to writing the names of the band and the festival.
Despite the cancellation of the attraction, Rafinha stated, in an interview with G1, that he would not make any changes to the new tattoo.
“People will never understand that when you're a fan of someone or a band, it's something you've been waiting for for a long time, that excitement… I actually ended up doing that.”
Rafinha also said that the tattoo (which he believes is the number 57 on his body) wasn't the only one honoring the band. “I don't have a tattoo on my body that wasn't because of Blink.”
“Prone to fits of apathy. Problem solver. Twitter buff. Wannabe music advocate.”
