The Governor approved the publication of the approval of Resolution CEE-BA 162/2024 –
At the end of the 21st National Science and Technology Week (SNCT), held at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC), in the neighborhood of Graça, in El Salvador, on Friday the 18th of this month, Governor Jerónimo Rodríguez met with the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, authorized by Luciana Santos. , with the decree establishing the program for the promotion, popularization and dissemination of science, PopCiência Bahia. The initiative aims to make scientific, technological and innovative knowledge accessible to young people in the country’s network.

Geronimo has delivered more than 78,000 tablets for basic education. R$78.2 million was invested, benefiting first-year secondary school students and teachers, and encouraging the use of digital class notes in the 27 ID regions.

Also at this event, the Governor authorized the publication of the approval of Resolution CEE-BA 162/2024, which establishes the guidelines for educational curricula for scientific education in educational institutions that are part of the state system. The initiative aims to improve student training, promote a more integrated and quality education that stimulates critical thinking and scientific curiosity, and better prepare young people to face the challenges of the future.
The governor also signed an agreement allowing the expansion and modernization of the multi-user Center for Integrated Analysis in Agriculture, Food, Health and Environment (CEMA). The goal is to support the research infrastructure in Brazil, through the acquisition of equipment and the adaptation of physical spaces. The total investment amounts to more than R$6 million. The municipalities benefiting from the agreement include Vitoria da Conquista, Giqui, and Itapitinga, and the duration of the project will be 36 months.
