An analysis of his electronic devices, a laptop and two cell phones, revealed his interest in powerful and famous people, according to information the FBI provided to members of Congress.
His most recent internet searches included Donald Trump, Democratic President Joe Biden, dates for the July 13 Republican caucus and the August Democratic convention, as well as FBI Director Christopher Wray, Attorney General Merrick Garland and a member of the British royal family, according to the same sources.
The good news is that the phone could be analyzed. The bad news is that it “doesn’t help at all,” Frank Figliuzzi, a former senior FBI official, told MSNBC this week.
“Don’t expect to find any logical reason here, and don’t follow logic to understand the madness,” he added.
As for the materials, the investigation will be comprehensive to clarify “where every bullet came from,” with the full sequence of events, “including what he had for breakfast,” said Frank Figliuzzi.
But the reason may never be made clear, as happened in the case of the Las Vegas massacre, the worst in modern US history, in which 58 people were killed and more than 500 injured on October 1, 2017.
