The new feature is part of a partnership between Amazon and fintech Geru, through the Geru Pay app. This option allows the customer to make purchases of up to R$10,000, splitting the payment over a period of up to 24 months, with interest rates varying according to the user’s credit profile.
How does Amazon Cardless Parcel work?
Parcele sem Cartão targets qualified customers, who undergo a credit analysis before agreeing to use the service. The customer must be of legal age, provide basic information such as CPF and address, as well as having a valid mobile phone and email.
Using this data, the Geru application performs a check of the credit history in real time, by consulting companies specialized in this sector.
If approved, the customer receives a line of credit to use exclusively on Amazon. During the first purchase, authentication is performed using facial recognition in the Geru Pay app, ensuring the security of the transaction.
The maximum instalment is 24 instalments, with the flexibility to pay the installments via bank voucher or PIX, providing a practical alternative for those who do not want or cannot use a credit card.
Although the installment offer is an attractive feature, it is important for customers to be aware that interest is charged, which can range from 4% to 9% per month, depending on the user’s credit score.

The development of installments in e-commerce
The minimum installments must be R$20, with a minimum purchase value of R$50 and a maximum of R$10,000. However, some product categories, such as digital content and subscriptions, are not available for this payment method.
