If CR7 is the first, the last to join the squad is tennis player Rafael Nadal with the launch of his hotel chain ZEL on Monday (9). As a result of the partnership with the Meliá chain, the first ZEL should open its doors in 2023 in Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands of Spain, with an emphasis on luxury through pop-up spaces dedicated to craftsmanship, beauty or gastronomic.

According to the chain, the plan is to build more than 20 hotels within five years, focusing on travelers with high spending power, those traveling for leisure or “leisure” (for business and pleasure). In the first phase, new units will open on the Mediterranean coast, in addition to Madrid, Paris and London, and later expand to the Americas, the Middle East and Asia.

The Brazilian footballer opened his first hotel in João Pessoa, Paraíba – his home country – in 2022. Tennis star Andy Murray is the name behind the Cromlix Hotel, this Victorian mansion in Kennebock, Scotland, which has just 10 bedrooms, 5 suites and an attached cottage, each with a unique and unique feel. The boutique hotel’s proposal is to provide a “cosy, homey vibe,” with its spaces named after the flowers and herbs of the area.

Its furnishings are comfortable and full of vintage and historical pieces – giving the feeling of sitting on a movie set. Among the more unusual activities on offer are fishing in the surrounding lake, archery, falconry, board games, spa and of course tennis lessons. However, the house has been closed since January 3 for renovations and is scheduled to reopen in March.
