“América” has been selected to replace “Senhora do Destino” on Viva as of November 27. This will be the first time the series will be re-shown on television. The plot of Gloria Perez, which originally aired in 2005, tells the story of Sol, a girl who dreams of crossing the border and starting a life in the United States, albeit illegally. “America” was one of the most distinctive television series I have done. There were a lot of problems because we had to do everything real, like running in the desert, crossing rivers… I had to enter the river wearing underpants and a T-shirt when the temperature was -2 degrees Celsius. Moreover, there were many difficulties in preparation as well. I worked at McDonald’s one day, and I went through the whole illegal immigration experience,” he recalls.
Deborah recalls the iconic scene in which Saul, while trying to cross from Mexico into the United States illegally, was found inside a car hiding behind the glove compartment.
– It was a TV series that marked my life. There are several iconic scenes that always stick in the mind, like the one in the glove compartment. I’m so happy to hear about this reboot. People always receive “América” with great emotion – celebrates the actress.
“América” reopens in November on Viva
In addition to Deborah, the cast of “América” also includes Murilo Benicio, Caco Seukler, Camila Morgado, Gabriela Duarte, Betty Faria, Bruna Marquezine, Iliane Giardini, Marcos Frutta, Murilo Rosa, and others. The series premieres on VIVA on November 27, Monday to Saturday, from 11pm, with a marathon on Sunday.
