The Academic Department of Computer Science (DACC), in partnership with PET Conexões Computer Science, is promoted.August 20th and 21st, A mini hackathon for students studying for a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. With 24 registrants, the proposed theme for the event was “Innovation in the School Environment: IF 4.0”.
The solutions developed by the students addressed issues faced by the academic community on a daily basis, such as the ability to purchase cafeteria food tickets via the app, the difficulty of positioning incoming students and new employees on campus, and managing working hours. Supplementary activities.
Professor Flavio Augusto de Freitas, the main responsible for the disciplines participating in this event, commented: “The students are very good. This class is very committed, and I was happy that the HCI content discussed in previous classes has come to fruition. They have done research in the field, developed characters and projects in Figma in HCI and used what we saw in the subject area, developing in React Native and using the Supabase database.
DACC, in collaboration with PET, plans to repeat this event often, given the high level of student satisfaction and engagement.
