Amazon Prime Video will now offer a subscription to anime channel Crunchyroll, Deadline reports (via Young nerd).
The model will be similar to the one Prime Video has already offered for other streaming services like Telecine, Paramount+ and Lionsgate+, where it’s possible to subscribe and add the new stream to your Prime subscription.
The new feature will go into effect this week in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Sweden. Other regions will receive Crunchyroll on Prime Video within the next year.
Subscription models include Fan and Mega Fan plans, which Crunchyroll already offers.
There are still no expectations for Crunchyroll to launch on Prime Video in Brazil.
The Anime Streaming company recently announced that it will be launching a 24-hour programming channel, thanks to its partnership with Game Show Network, an arm of Sony Pictures Entertainment.
The channel will be available on platforms such as Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, Roku Channel and VIZIO WatchFree+. Titles in its catalog include Horimiya, Ranking of Kings, Moriarty the Patriot, Psycho-Pass, Arifureta, Sugar Apple Fairy Tale, To Your Eternity, and Code Geass.
