On Friday, October 8, Kamakawa had five new confirmed cases of Covid-19. So far, 7,847 confirmed cases of infection have been recorded, and 7,656 patients have recovered.

With confirmed cases, the city has 40 people with active disease.

In terms of in-hospital patients, the city has only one Intensive Care Unit (ICU) bed at Nossa Senhora Aparecida Hospital and two beds in clinical beds.
To date, there have been 151 deaths associated with the disease.

Vaccination against COVID-19
The Municipal Health Department, through the Municipal Vaccination Sector, has informed the change in the times of vaccination against Covid-19 in Kamakawa, as well as the dates for utilizing the second dose.
The main change takes place in the working hours for residents, from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, in the afternoon from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, business hours are extended until 8 pm.

Those who need the second dose of Butantan/CoronVac follow the date preselected in pencil on the vaccination card.
For Fiocruz/AstraZeneca, the second dose will include people who have taken the first dose through July 22.
For the second dose of Pfizer, those who received the first dose through August 15 will be considered. Vaccinations are performed at the Vegas Immunization Center.

Adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 continue to be vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.

Adolescents between the ages of 12 and 15 will receive the vaccination agent only with their parents or guardians.
third dose
The teams apply the third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, only to people over the age of 60, as long as 6 months have passed since the second dose was applied, as well as to health professionals, after the same specified time i.e. 6 months after vaccination with the second dose.
The additional dose is applied to immunosuppressed people, 28 days after applying the second dose.
