the Corinth Racing is officially scheduled to face Argentina in the first match of the semi-finals of the tournament South American Cup. The ball rolls at 9:30pm (Brasilia time) at the New Quimica Arena, with the return taking place seven days later in Argentina.
It is scheduled with Timão Hugo Souza; Wagner, Andre Ramalho, Kaka and Matthews Bedou; José Martínez, Charles and Andre Carrillo, and Rodrigo Garro; Memphis Depay and Youri Alberto.
Despite repeatedly stating that the Brazilian championship was the priority, coach Ramon Diaz decided to play Corinthians with maximum intensity. The main new thing in the starting lineup is the presence of Memphis Depay, who will take over from Angel Romero.
This is Corinthians’ third semi-final in the Copa Sudamericana – the others, in 2019 and 2023. On both occasions, São Paulo failed to reach the final.
Corinthians eliminated Red Bull Bragantino (round of 16) and Fortaleza (quarter-finals). The race eliminated Huachipato-CHI and Athletico-PR in the previous stages.
The race is defined by: Gabriel Arias; Gastón Martina, Gabriel Rojas, Marco de Cesar and Agustín García; Juan Nardone, Santiago Sosa, Agustín Almendra, and Juan Quintero; Adrian Martinez and Maxi Salas.
