The player was a free agent after leaving Dutch club PSV Eindhoven, and he comes into competition for a place in a Corinthians defence that currently includes Kaká, Felix Torres, Gustavo Henrique, Caetano and young Joao Pedro Chuca. Vasco even showed interest in signing Ramalho, but Timão managed to beat off competition to complete the deal.
Now, the management is working on announcing the signing of midfielders Charles, from Midtjylland-DEN, and Alex Santana, who left Atlético. To count on Charles, the black and white club will pay 1.3 million euros (7.6 million Brazilian reals at current prices), with the payment divided into three installments.
