So much so that the most special medal for me was the team bronze. It was very special to win with them, the group deserves a lot. Rebecca Andrade
The pain continues to accompany Rebecca Andrade. The Brazilian admitted that she was suffering from problems, and even indicated the possibility of retiring from gymnastics. Completing the 2024 Paris Olympics without having to undergo a new operation has brought relief to the athlete.
You know the countless surgeries I’ve had to undergo. I had a lot of pain that was controlled with medication during the Olympics. I just wanted to live in Paris and end it on a happy note. And I did it. So when I finished and saw that I was okay, I said, “Oh, I’m alive.” I will be able to return to Brazil quietly and hug my family and dogs without having to go to the operating room.
New leap coming?
Rebecca Andrade even recorded the Yurshenko Triple Twist with the idea of saving it for the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, she didn’t take any chances and kept the trick up her sleeve.
Two months after the end of the Olympics, she said that she still has not given up performing the jump, which can be named after her.
