Last Friday, 28-year-old journalist Magalia Mazziotti, 43, filed a police report with the Parana Civil Police after she was assaulted. The CNN presenter was holding a poster in favor of candidate Lula, when she was attacked last Thursday (27), around 10 p.m., on the sidewalk of XV de Novembro, in Curitiba.
In addition, the journalist needed four stitches in her face, due to her injury.
“Magalea Mazziotti, I’m 43, was going to meet up with my friends and was attacked by now. I don’t know if it was because there were Lola stickers. Minutes after the assault, she said, in a video, her face was still bloodied.”
Then the CNN journalist also said, “At first they didn’t take anything and I think it’s because I have Lola posters showing who I’m voting for on Sunday. I’ve had my face cut out and I have a bump on my head.”
It should also be noted that a CNN journalist was not the only one who was attacked during this election period. In addition, it should be noted that at the end of September, the London police were called to help journalists Lays Allegretti and Giovanni Bello, of BBC Brasil, keep away from a group of supporters of the country’s president, Jair Bolsonaro (PL), in the UK.
