CNMP and SUS authorities sign the Vaccine Awareness Charter
The Vaccination Awareness Charter was launched on Wednesday (11/30) by the National Council of Public Prosecution and the Unified Health System authorities. The initiative seeks to encourage coordinated and national action between the Brazilian Public Ministry and public health agencies and entities in the search for vaccine awareness and the resumption of vaccine coverage rates across the country.
The project will be coordinated by the CNMP, through the President, the Attorney General of the Republic, Augusto Aras, and the Health Committee, chaired by Chancellor Jaime de Oliveira.
In addition to Augusto Aras and Jimmy de Oliveira, Minister of Health Marcelo Quiroga; National Council for Justice (CNJ) Advisor Richard Bae Kim; the representative of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Brazil, Socorro Galeano; Chair of the National Council of Prosecutors of the State and Union Ministries General (CNPG), Norma Angelica Cavalcanti; President of the National Council of Health Trustees (CONAS), Nicio de Medeiros; Director of the National Council of Municipal Health Secretariats (Conasems), Artur Amorim; and the principal of Fiocruz State School, Luciana Sepúlveda.
At this first moment, the focus of action will be the vaccination against polio, whose numbers are declining dramatically.
