A Chinese woman has set out to take revenge on salespeople at a Louis Vuitton store, sending shockwaves through social media. The incident took place in Chongqing, southwest China, and became a news story in the Chinese press after it spread online.

The woman used the Chinese platform Xiaohongshu to post photos of her plan. It all started after she was ignored during a visit to the place two months ago. She then decided to return to the store with 600,000 yuan, or R$466,000, in cash.

The woman, accompanied by her friend and personal assistant, tried on several clothes and said she would buy them. She made the vendors spend two hours counting the bills, before announcing that she was canceling the purchase.

“After they finished counting, I took my money and left. How can I buy products and improve their performance at work?” he asked.

In the post, the customer also said that on her previous visit, the salespeople refused to give her a glass of water, only pointed to clothes from old collections and rolled their eyes when she asked to see the new clothes. She was supported by netizens.

“This ending is so delicious,” one said. “I’ve always wondered why those shop assistants are so arrogant.”

The woman also revealed that before planning everything, she had tried to contact the brand to file a formal complaint, but was ignored.
