China’s economic sanctions have put the US at risk of global stability, Chinese media say

Sputnik – China’s Global Times reported that the US economic sanctions against China will not only affect bilateral relations, but also affect world peace and stability.

The media also pointed out that relations between Beijing and Washington are one of the most important bilateral exchange relations in the world, so their stability is important.

Recently, Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang spoke with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries would be maintained.

The WG noted that tensions between the two countries reached an alarming level of hostility in 2022 due to differences over Taiwan and US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taipei.

According to the newspaper, the visit deeply shook the relationship between the two countries and mutual trust between them.

Another factor in the White House’s hostility toward Beijing is the escalation of sanctions against the Asian giant’s trade and policy to disrupt its markets based on the high-tech industrial chain.

The WG also points out that in a multi-challenged world, major countries should set examples of cooperation, urging Washington to negotiate rather than seek confrontation with a winning attitude.
