The State Secretariat has specific programs and wants to centralize the allocation of vacancies
The State Ministry of Health intends to expand the functioning of the State Service for the organization of vacancies in the network of hospitals linked to the SUS (Sistema Único de Saúde). Currently, the file does not have full control over how beds are opened and occupied because the major cities, with full management, directly handle bed allocation without the involvement of the trust.
The owner of the file, physician Mauricio Simes Correr, admitted that this was one of the objectives of the Secretariat. According to him, the state body has a strong regulation system, which, however, is not fully utilized. According to Correa, there is modern software suitable for this, making the Secretariat “well equipped” for the task.
He considers that a single regulation, to be issued by the Secretariat of State, would improve the management of the filling of vacancies in hospitals linked to the SUS (Sistema Único de Saúde), with more efficient monitoring of those available and the removal of patients requiring hospital services. He pointed to the situation of Campo Grande and Dorados as examples of cities that regulate vacancies directly, without taking action on pastas.
He explains that the situation is causing noise on the network. He revealed that he had already addressed this issue in the meeting of the CIB (Directors of the Bilateral Commission), between the state and the municipalities, and was negotiating with the municipal secretariats so that they realize the need for centralization and adherence to the regulations issued by the state.
