CCR Group invests R$1.3 billion in structural renovations of 15 national airports

a CCR group It announced an investment of about R$1.3 billion in renovation work at 15 airports obtained in concession auctions for the South and Central terminals. The stations sold in 2021 will undergo structural repairs and zonal rehabilitation to increase passenger flow and safety and the business should generate around 2,200 jobs.

About R$ 950 million will be allocated to airports in the southern block, which includes the municipalities of Curitiba (PR), Foz do Iguaçu (PR), Navegantes (SC), Londrina (PR), Joinville (SC), Baccheri (PR) ), Pelotas (RS), Uruguayana (RS), and Bagé (RS). The important event goes to Navegantes Airport, in Santa Catarina, which will acquire a wider and more equipped terminal, in addition to Pampulha Airport, which will receive total drainage interventions to contain the problem of recurring floods in the area, with expected investments in BRL 20 million.

Another R$350 million will be allocated to airports in the central region, made up of the municipalities of Goiânia (GO), Palmas (TO), São Luís (MA), Imperatriz (MA), Teresina (PI) and Petrolina (PE), for upgrade and expansion. The highlight is Goiânia Airport, which will receive expansion in the cargo sector, strengthening the logistics infrastructure of the asset.

In addition to investing in 15 airports Citizens, CCR Group continues its interest in new federal auctions, as well as investing in the management of three recently acquired international terminals in Quito, Ecuador, Juan Santa María, Costa Rica, and Curaçao, in the Netherlands Antilles. According to Fabio Russo, head of the airports division at CCR Group, the company’s focus is on major terminal projects, and therefore, auctions organized by states are not on the company’s radar, which targets new federal auctions.
