Cazé TV, a new Brazilian media powerhouse, has its own five-story building and 200 Olympic specialists.

247 – Cazé TV, which has become a Brazilian media giant in a short period of time, is preparing to be present at the Paris 2024 Olympics with a huge operation. With its own five-story building in Rio de Janeiro and a team of 200 professionals, the influential Casimiro Miguel station is preparing to broadcast more than 500 hours of live content, challenging Globo’s dominance. “It’s difficult to make predictions about the Olympics, but I’m sure we’ll make a big impact,” says Luis Felipe Freitas, 36, Cazé TV’s main narrator. interview By journalist Leonardo Volpato, from F5.

In less than two years, Cazé TV has grown exponentially, showing major events, such as the last World Cup, where around 8 million people tuned in for a single quarter-final match, when the Brazilian team was eliminated by Croatia. Now the challenge is even greater: for the first Olympic broadcast, there will be up to eight live streams open simultaneously to show everything that happens with the Brazilians competing for medals.

For Freitas, the difference at Cazé TV lies in the team and the freedom that professionals enjoy. “We have communicators of all styles, but information is the fundamental principle that we do not give up. We are different and unconventional, but we offer the seriousness that sport deserves,” says Freitas, who adds that Cazé TV will try to put itself in situations of controversial events during matches. “We cannot remain silent when important issues arise and our voice is needed.”

The physical structure is fundamental to Cazé TV. The opening of a five-storey building in Rio de Janeiro, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, allows up to eight simultaneous transmissions in high quality. The upper floor, with a stage, a screen and a space for interaction with guests, symbolizes the commitment to innovation and interactivity.

The Olympic operation will involve 200 people, including 55 commentators, 12 narrators and 11 correspondents in Paris, as well as influencers who produce content for social networks. Among the correspondents are Diogo DeFante and Menina Veneno, who offer a more alternative and less traditional approach to the world of sports.

Cazé TV stands out for allowing its callers to express their talents freely. “We have former athletes as commentators, including 14 Olympic medalists, such as Janet (basketball), Flavio Cantú (judo), Serginho (volleyball), and Les Souza (gymnastics), who are happy to comment on the sport without having to tell their story of overcoming,” says Freitas.
