Carlos Eugenio UFAPE Blog will receive a Master’s degree in Computer Science. The approval of the Garanhuns graduate program is celebrated

The Federal University of Agresti de Pernambuco (UFAPE) will implement a postgraduate program in Computer Science, Master’s level. The approval of the new course was determined by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES).

“The Master’s degree in Computer Science represents not only an achievement for UFAPE, but also for the entire state of Pernambuco, especially the Agreste region and also its entire network of influence, which goes beyond our state,” highlighted the university in a post on the social media site.

According to UFAPE, the program in the concentration area of ​​Exact Sciences and Geosciences is divided into two lines of research: Computational Systems and Intelligent Computing. “The project aims to train outstanding professionals in this field, enabling them to solve the challenges and constraints of the sector, particularly in the field of information technology,” added the university, which is headed by Professor Dr. Iron Melo (pictured below).

In addition to the Rector, the approval of the course was also celebrated by the Vice-Rector for Research, Postgraduate Studies and Innovation of UFAPE, Prof. Dr. José Romualdo de Souza Lima, and Professors Erika Valente de Medeiros (Director of Postgraduate Studies) and Verónica Meira de Souza (General Coordinator of Stricto Sensu), who worked directly on the project approved by CAPES.
