Cape Verdean Airlines becomes the newest operator of Embraer aircraft

ACIA Aero Leasing today (27) announced the delivery of the Embraer E190 E1 aircraft in Leasing For Bestfly Worldwide, headquartered in Cape Verde. The delivery, which took place at the Embraer Redelivery Center in Macon, Georgia (USA), represents the introduction of this type of aircraft into both the lessor and airline fleets.

With the leasing company’s three ATR 72-600s already in operation at Bestfly, the E190 becomes the company’s fourth chartered aircraft. During the Dubai Airshow 2021, Bestfly indicated that it will order up to four Embraer aircraft as part of its portfolio growth project.

The E190 delivered features a Bestfly class and will soon enter service in Cape Verde’s connection to West Africa and the Azores.

Bestfly CEO Nuno Pereira commented: “We have worked hard with our ACIA partners to expand our portfolio. The delivery of this special aircraft is very special for us as it is our first E190. This solidifies our entry into the regular service segment.”.
