Boca Juniors want Valdez to travel to Argentina on Monday for tests and to sign until December 2025. He has been in Paraguay since the termination of his contract with Mexican America.
The businessman also confirmed that Valdez already had a trip scheduled in Belo Horizonte. The defender has had very advanced negotiations with Cruzeiro, the agent also said.
Ending Valdez with Mexico America
Valdez had a contract with Mexican America until June 2023, but he managed to push his departure forward. And the Eagles didn’t make it difficult to release the 30-year-old, as he was one of the foreigners quoted to leave the team. The termination was announced last Friday (6).
Liga MX (League Mexico) does not allow teams to exceed the foreign quota per season. This year, seven players will be allowed on the field and nine registered. In addition to Valdez, America had 11 players of other nationalities in the team.
Bruno Valdez made history in America. In 226 opportunities on the field, he scored 27 goals and became the defender with the most goals scored by the yellow team. In addition, he won the national championship and the Mexican Cup.
Upon his departure, he received honors for all the games he played for America (watch video below).
