Britney Spears, along with Elton John, recorded a version of the hit Tiny Dancer – a 1971 song that became one of the hottest hits of the Briton’s career. According to TMZ, the song was recorded last week and will be released in August via Universal Music.
Page Six reported that the artists met secretly in a recording studio in Beverly Hills, United States.
A source revealed, “This was Elton’s idea, and Britney is a huge fan. They recorded a remix of Tiny Dancer as a complete duo – and that’s amazing.” Britney was at the Beverly Hills studio last week with Elton for a secret recording session moderated by super-producer Andrew Watt.
Andrew Watt’s basement studio has produced albums for the likes of Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Pearl Jam and Ozzy Osbourne and won the 2021 Grammy Award for Producer of the Year.
Regarded as one of Rocket Man’s greatest hits, Tiny Dancer was part of the soundtracks for products like Famous and The Office.
Britney’s Back
On July 15, Britney Spears hinted that she’s ready to get back to work and shared a video on Instagram singing a remake of 1998’s Baby One More Time. Time…maybe for a long time.”
After her nearly 14-year regency ended in November 2021, the immortal little princess of pop has been showing signs that she’s ready to get back to work.
With the project alongside Elton John, the song is expected to be the Grammy winner’s first official single since the 2016 slumber party.
“Prone to fits of apathy. Problem solver. Twitter buff. Wannabe music advocate.”
