Brazil squandered several chances and lost against the USA to finish as runners-up in the Gold Cup

Both teams showed tension in the final minutes. There were many passing and positioning errors. In the 33rd minute, Brazil fumbled the ball and Lynn Williams scored the second American goal, but the attacker was ruled offside.

Building on the excitement, Brazil pressed on in the 39th minute and almost equalized. Debinha, who came on in the second half, took a free kick from the left which Guice deflected with great risk. On 45, Devinha fired a free kick wide. Brazil team tried till the end but could not equalize the game.
