The duel between Botafogo Palmeiras will witness the clash of the attacking and defensive forces of the Brasileirão next Wednesday. When the ball rolls at 9:30 p.m. at the Nilton Santos stadium, fans will be able to watch the confrontation between Savarino and Murillo, perhaps the heroes of the best sectors of their teams, captain and vice-captain respectively.
Botafogo’s infallible attack
Botafogo have an effective attack, having scored in every match since the start of the competition. So far, 27 achievements have been made in 16 matches, the second best in the tournament, one more than Flamengo. The team has also received key reinforcements in the last few games.
Venezuelan Savarino has been away from Alvenegro for almost 40 days. He was defending his country in the Copa America and returned 10 days ago. He was a regular for Artur Jorge before the trip. His departure left a gap in the sector that had to be improvised.

The defender’s good performances landed him on coach Dorival Junior’s preliminary list for the Copa America. He missed four matches to receive treatment for the injury, but he started 11 matches in the Brazilian league.
Alongside him, Murillo will have Gustavo Gomes, the Palmeiras captain who was also at the start of last year. Together they have won Palmeiras’ most recent titles and have a great relationship.
The match will also serve as a preview for Brazil’s Libertadores Round of 16 clash, which will be held in August.
