Pink black Is it in danger of expiring? According to South Korean media, the K-pop girl group continues to negotiate with YG Entertainment to renew their contract with the entertainment agency, amid reports that the girls will not renew their contract individually.
On Monday, a South Korean media outlet reported that BLACKPINK will continue to promote together as a group under YG Entertainment, despite speculation that they will not renew their exclusive contracts with YG as individual members.
A source from YG Entertainment told Soompi, “Nothing has been confirmed and we are still in discussions.”
The group’s previous contracts with YG Entertainment expired in early August. So far, YG has not clarified the group’s status.

South Korean pop group BLACKPINK received an honorary tribute during a special ceremony at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday (22), when the girls met King Charles III. Rosé, Jisoo, Jennie and Lisa were honored for their contributions as Champions of the COP26 Summit in Glasgow 2021. They were awarded the title of Honorary Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), from the hands of the King himself.
Rosie, who has dual citizenship in New Zealand, was awarded an honorary MBE due to her non-resident status in the UK. Meanwhile, the other three members, Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa, received a standard MBE.
With New Zealand being one of the 14 kingdoms under British rule, those who are not British citizens or members of the kingdoms receive honorary copies of MBEs.
Before the ceremony, BLACKPINK attended a state dinner hosted by the King, where they were joined by Prince William and Princess Kate.
BLACKPINK joined South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife Kim Keun-hee as they met the King at the private ceremony.
