Banks begin to refund incorrectly charged fees; How to apply?

It is not new that Brazilian banks, whether traditional or digital, offer a free checking account option. The account can be ordered in a practical way even without leaving home, just access the website or application of a particular company.

What many don’t know is that incorrectly charged fees make the account not free. The internet collapsed after this revelation, which happened on Twitter.

Until Nath Finance, a digital influencer and financial guru, decided to share a valuable piece of advice on the social network. The information meant that many people were able to recover a large amount of unpaid fees, which not many people were aware of.

Recently, clients have reported on social networks successful cases of refunding bank charges. Several of them posted screenshots of responses worth more than R$120, for example. Some reports speak of large and frightening amounts!

After customers realized that the account fit the free plan, they decided to request a refund. Some customers reported that they only made transfers via Pix or only received their salary – and even then there were customs fees involved.

Nath Finance found a loophole in Veerappan’s judgment

The internet went crazy posting Nath Finance, especially when the bank’s first customers started receiving payments. To this day, for example, the post is about how people were able to reverse the amount.

Many customers are unaware of the rule set by the central bank and reinforced by the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Verapan): banks have to offer customers so-called basic services.

This regulation, in effect since 2007, provides for free basic services in demand and savings deposit accounts.

This measure aims to ensure that customers have access to essential services without charging fees, providing an accessible option for using their bank accounts.

However, even with this decision, many customers remain unaware of this possibility and continue to pay unnecessary fees.
