According to Visa Consulting, hotel transactions have also shown an upward curve, and on festival days, recorded a 65% increase in volume compared to the previous month. The entertainment sector, such as cinema and theater, was also marked by a growth of 74% in the value of transactions during Rio’s rock era.

Also according to the VCA, there was a 60% increase in the number of transactions using Visa credentials from several Brazilian states in Rio de Janeiro during the festival compared to the same period in August. The survey shows that the states with the most Visa credentials used in Rio de Janeiro during Rio’s Rock Period were in the following order: São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Paraná, Distrito Federal, Bahia, Ceará, Alagoas, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina .
