Atlético-MG retains Dutrinha in Cuiabá if it needs to comply with Supercup regulations | football

Atlético-MG booked the Dutrinha Stadium, in Cuiabá, on Friday and Saturday. The municipality of Cuiaba, which manages the stadium, confirmed the appointments of Gallo, who will face Flamengo in Supercopa do Brasil, next Sunday, at the Arena Pantanal.

Minas Gerais announced that it will not arrive until the eve of the Super Cup due to the lack of structure in Cuiaba. If it is necessary to comply with the regulations, which oblige teams to arrive three days in advance to the venue of the match, he has already scheduled two training sessions at Dutrinha. However, the plan still reaches the capital, Mato Grosso, only on Saturday.

The stadium was closed for seven years, but was recently renovated and has already hosted matches of the Mato Grosso Championship, including with the Brazilian First Division team – Cuiabá x Operaário VG.

In 2021, the national teams of Chile, Uruguay and Bolivia trained at the Duterinha stadium during the conflict in the Copa America, without even receiving official matches.

Flamengo in turn expected and Cuiaba agreed to use the club’s training center.
