Football manager Atletico-MGRodrigo Caetano has confirmed that the club has progressed in negotiations for striker Pavon's departure from Gremio. For this reason, he was excluded from the details of Gallo's draw with Tompensi, next Wednesday, in favor of Mineiro.

Talks are about the eventual sale of the athlete. Pavon has bid farewell to those close to him and is expected to arrive in Porto Alegre in the coming days. The deal values have not been revealed yet.
When asked about a possible replacement, Cayetano praised Alisson Santana, a boy from the base, who plays on the left side and scored Gallo's goal against Tompense.
– Gallo strongly demands that young people not be given opportunities. When, sometimes, the splint is reduced, with this in mind, we are also accused. We have to reach an agreement. What is best for your rooster? From our point of view, young people will have space as long as they show quality.
– It is the club’s duty to provide space. If Pavon leaves, if we are to see the cup full, it will be because of our belief in Alisson. We try to have consistency in decisions.
Pavon was hired in 2022, in July. The 28-year-old Argentine signed a contract until the end of 2026 with Gallo.
