The Atletico delegation had a different focus ahead of the match on Tuesday (30), at 9:30 p.m., at the Arena MRV, against Sport, in the third stage of the Brazilian Cup. Due to the protest of public employees at MG-10, in front of the Administrative City, seat of the government of Minas Gerais, the work crew concentrated on a hotel in the northeastern area of the capital of Minas Gerais.
The players began their concentration regime on Tuesday morning and spent the day at the hotel.
The Atletico administration feared that the protest in the administrative city of the Serra Verde neighborhood would prevent the club bus from arriving in time for the match at the Arena MRF stadium.
Protesters released traffic in both directions for the MG-10 only at around 5:45 pm on Tuesday. The highway was completely closed for more than two hours due to a protest organized by Public Security personnel.
Protesters gathered in front of the Administrative City, the headquarters of the state government, to demand a 41.6% increase in salaries.
The closure caused congestion about 10 kilometers towards Belo Horizonte International Airport in Convince. Traffic was blocked from Avenida Cristiano Machado, near Minas Shopping Mall, in the Uniao district, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the direction of the capital, Minas Gerais, traffic congestion began on the MG-10 road, from the Jardim da Gloria neighborhood, in Vespasiano. In total, there were six kilometers of slow running. There were also implications for MG-424, which has seen flow congestion since the Cidade do Galo surge.
