The famous ROG Phone series from Asus was supposed to end with the launch of the seventh generation last year, according to some previous reports. However, the company denied this news and confirmed that it will maintain its Gamer smartphone line. As evidence of this, the leak has just revealed the first details of the ROG Phone 8.
According to new information, the ROG Phone 8 will come equipped with the recently launched Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. For those who don’t know, this processor was specifically designed for high-end smartphones and is present in models like the Xiaomi 14 series. The chip promises a 30% increase in CPU performance, 20% better power efficiency and other general improvements.

Currently, other specifications of the ROG Phone 8 are still unknown. However, a device with model number ASUS_AI2401_A recently appeared on Geekbench with the new Qualcomm chipset, 16GB of RAM and Android 14. It seems to point to the next release from Asus.
